Spring Arts Festival One Month Away

Spring Arts Festival One Month Away

Mandy Cassiano

April 28th and 29th doesn`t seem too far away for the Old Florida Celebration of the Arts Committee who reports a full show of 120 artists being accepted this year.

The OFCA was also happy to announce Drummond Community Bank and Palms Medical Group as its 2012 Title Sponsors for the 3rd consecutive year. "Their continued support along with grants awarded by the Lions Club and Tourist Development Council (TDC) are key in the success of this event" said event coordinator Mandy Cassiano. "We feel all of our sponsors believe that Cedar Key`s reputation is further enhanced by this great festival and the fine artists who participate in it" she continued.

Celebrating its 48th year, the Cedar Key show was recognized as a TOP 20 event by Southeast Tourism Society this year.

During the next month, the OFCA Committee will be reaching out to local groups and individuals to solicit sponsors, purchase award patrons, and volunteers. There are a wide variety of ways to help with this event including setup/take down, being a block captain, or assisting at the artist`s reception in the CKAC sculpture garden Saturday evening.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, volunteer, or have an in-kind donation to contribute, please contact Mandy Cassiano at cedarkeyarts@bellsouth.net or 543-5400.
