Commencement of Marina Basin Dredge

Commencement of Marina Basin Dredge

ANNOUNCEMENT

City of Cedar Key
The Island City

NOTICE: COMMENCEMENT OF MARINA BASIN DREDGE

The City Marina basin will be dredged starting JULY 5, 2004. The dredge operation will likely take 3 months. During the dredge, more than half of the marina parking will be closed. The launch will remain open during the dredge operation but parking will be extremely limited.

Boaters from outside the Cedar Key area should consider using alternative boat ramps during this period, such as in Crystal River, Suwannee, Steinhatchee, Homosassa or Horseshoe Beach. Gulf Hammock, Shell Mound & the Lower Suwannee Refuge also have launch areas for shallow draft boats.

The City regrets the inconvenience caused to boaters but when completed the marina basin will once again be usable during all tides.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
