ANNOUNCEMENT

CITY OF CEDAR KEY COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY


POSITION TITLE: Community Redevelopment Agency Director


Salary Range: Minimum: $45,000 Maximum: $75,000


GENERAL DESCRIPTION/JOB FUNCTIONS:


Responsible for managing the office of the Community Redevelopment Agency the Community Redevelopment Agency Capital Improvement Plan and all CRA programs within the Cedar Key community redevelopment area. This includes day-to-day operations, planning, budgeting, capital acquisitions and financial control, public relations, real estate negotiations, administering professional service contracts, project presentations and public marketing, capital planning, compliance with Community Development Act and serving as liaison to local governments, businesses, property owners and the CRA Board. The CRA Director will be appointed by and will report to the CRA Board.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Knowledge of Community Development Act and economic development principles, methods, techniques and programs.
* Knowledge of local government financing mechanisms.
* Knowledge of Cedar Key`s administrative policies, procedures and organizational structure.
* Understanding of Cedar Key`s unique personality, needs and goals. Negotiating skills.
* Real estate knowledge.
* Project management skills.
* Good organizational skills and initiative.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


Preferred: Bachelors degree in Urban Planning, Business Administration, or Real Estate Development and four (4) or more years experience in planning and development, real estate development, business/public administration, marketing or related field, with three (3) years of related experience in economic or planning development, and/or and equivalent combination or education, training and related experience. Experience with a Community Redevelopment Agency and with Tax Increment Financing Districts a plus. Florida Driver`s License required.
