Notice of proposed enactment on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at 7 p.m., in the City Hall at 490 Second Street, Cedar Key, Florida, the City Commission of Cedar Key shall hold a PUBLIC HEARING to consider the SECOND and FINAL reading of an ordinance entitled:
ORDINANCE NUMBER 409
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CEDAR KEY, LEVY COUNTY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO DECLARATION OF A STATE OF LOCAL EMERGENCY IN THE EVENT OF A NATURAL TECHNOLOGICAL OR MANMADE DISASTER OR THE IMMINENT THREAT THEREOF; PROVIDING THE PURPOSE AND INTENT OF THE ORDINANCE; PROVIDING DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS WITH AUTHORITY TO DECLARE A STATE OF LOCAL EMERGENCY; PROVIDING DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING FOR LENGTH OF TIME AUTHORIZED FOR A DECLARED STATE OF LOCAL EMERGENCY AND PROVISIONS FOR EXTENSION AND/OR TERMINATION OF SAME; PROVIDING FOR ACTIVATION OF DISASTER EMERGENCY PLANS; PROVIDING FOR THE WAIVER OF CERTAIN PROCEDURES AND FORMALITIES; PROVIDING FOR IMPOSITION OF CERTAIN EMERGENCY MEASURES OR REGULATIONS; PROVIDING DISCLAIMER OF LIMITATION OF AUTHORITY; PROVIDING PENALTIES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
If any person decides to appeal the decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at said PUBLIC HEARING, he/she will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
