NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE ENACTMENT


Notice of proposed ordinance enactment on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at 7 p.m., in the City Hall at 490 Second Street, Cedar Key, Florida, the City
Commission of Cedar Key shall hold a PUBLIC HEARING to consider
SECOND and FINAL reading of an ordinance entitled:


ORDINANCE NUMBER 414


AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CEDAR KEY, LEVY COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING AD VALOREM TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR HISTORIC PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF CEDAR KEY; PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE TYPE AND LOCATION OF HISTORIC PROPERTY FOR WHICH EXEMPTIONS MAY BE GRANTED; PROVIDING A DESIGNATION FOR REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS FOR EXEMPTION; PROVIDING FOR THE FORM OF APPLICATION; PROVIDING FOR THE METHOD OF REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS; PROVIDING FOR EXECUTION OF A COVENANT WITH THE PROPERTY OWNER FOR THE TERM OF THE EXEMPTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.


If any person decides to appeal the decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at said PUBLIC HEARING, he/she will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
