NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE ENACTMENT


Notice of proposed ordinance enactment on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at 7 p.m., in the City Hall at 490 Second Street, Cedar Key, Florida, the City Commission of Cedar Key shall hold a PUBLIC HEARING to consider SECOND and FINAL reading of an ordinance entitled:


ORDINANCE NUMBER 425

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CEDAR KEY, LEVY COUNTY
FLORIDA; AMENDING ARTICLE VI, CHAPTER
FOUR, LAWS OF CEDAR KEY TO REMOVE THE
CLASSIFICATION OF LOTS SMALLER THAN
2,500 SQUARE FEET AS SUBSTANDARD LOTS
REQUIRING A VARIANCE FOR DEVELOPMENT;
ADDING A PROHIBITION ON THE DEMOLITION
OF HISTORIC STRUCTURES TO THE REQUIRE-
MENTS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SUBSTANDARD
LOTS SMALLER THAN 7,500 SQUARE FEET;
CLARIFYING THAT THE MINIMUM LOT SIZE
PROVISIONS DO NOT PROHIBIT DEVELOPMENT
OF STRUCTURES ON, OR ACROSS, PARCEL
BOUNDARIES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.





If any person decides to appeal the decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at said PUBLIC HEARING, he/she will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
