BRIEF CRA MEETING ADOPTS BUDGET, EMPLOYEE MANUAL

BRIEF CRA MEETING ADOPTS BUDGET, EMPLOYEE MANUAL

Jean Rigg

Cedar Key`s five city commissioners convened Tuesday evening, October 4, sitting as directors of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). Within a span of ten minutes, the meeting was gaveled to order and then adjourned by CRA Chair and Vice Mayor Gene Hodges.

Commissioner Hodges began the meeting by greeting Norm Fugate, attending his first Cedar Key city commission meeting in his new role as city attorney. The commissioners moved on to the agenda`s two action items, quickly establishing the CRA`s fiscal year 2011-2012 budget and adopting a new employee policy manual.

Before the regular business of the meeting, Commissioner Sue Colson announced that flu shots will be administered in Cedar Key on Wednesday afternoon, October 12, between 3:00 and 5:00, upstairs at the Library, and during food pantry hours at the Methodist Church on Thursday, October 13.
