Cedar Key News is GOING GREEN! No, not that kind of green, but the Irish sort of green. We`re going to celebrate St. Patrick`s Day by getting together for a buffet of traditional Irish dishes, plus our island`s specialty - clam chowder, prepared by one of CLAMerica`s award-winning cooks. A variety of drinks will be provided, as will readings of limericks and singing of Irish ditties. We hope you will join us at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, St. Patrick`s Day, in the upstairs meeting room of the Cedar Key Public Library. The Board of Directors has joined together to make this party a rousing time for all, and we promise to keep the required annual meeting to five minutes or less. Once each year, Cedar Key News asks for your membership in our non-profit, locally-owned community news source. We provide local news, inline and in print. Your membership fees help pay the printer. However, your membership is most important because it gives us feedback about the service we provide. You elect a Board of Directors as overseers. Cedar Key News began publication eight years ago. Our goals have been to provide local news in a timely manner, to provide balanced news and to provide a place for honest reasoned opinion. The biweekly print editions offer a place for local businesses to advertise. Please join us at the Cedar Key Public Library meeting room at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 17. For your convenience, there is a membership application form below. Don`t forget to bring your favorite limerick and wear something GREEN! The Board of Directors Cedar Key News Inc. |
