04 August 1884 - A number of citizens presented a petition to the Levy County Board of County Commissioners asking that a foot bridge be built across the Waccasassa on the road leading from Ebenezer Church to Bronson. The Board appointed a committee of Samuel Quincy, William Gomm, and Daniel Faircloth to examine the crossing and get estimates as to the cost and length of a bridge and report by the next meeting of the Board. The lowest bid of $70.00 was submitted by D.L. McGowen. McGowen said he would build a 216 yard bridge with posts of heart cypress placed six feet apart, a substantial hand rail, and a floor laid with two planks ten inches wide.

01 January 1942 - County Judge H.W. Wilson appeared before the Levy County Board of County Commissioners and suggested that the County Commissioners employ a County Prosecuting Attorney, provided that same would not become burdensome to the county and if the County`s finances would permit it. Judge Wilson further stated that in his opinion it would be of great advantage and benefit to the County Judge`s Court and would ultimately result in a savings for the County. Whereupon, the County Commissioners employed Attorney W.F. Anderson as County Prosecuting Attorney with the understanding that he is to receive a fee of $5.00 for each conviction in the County Judge`s Court when the defendant pays the fine and cost adjudged against him. It is understood that this agreement would be entirely without any cost to the County.
