03 March 1845 - The Act establishing statehood for Florida was approved this date by the second session of the 28th Congress. Florida was entitled to one representative in the House of Representatives of the United States until the next United States census and apportionment was made. The new state of Florida embraced the territories of East and West Florida as defined by the treaty between the United States and Spain ratified on the 22 of February 1819.

05 October 1891 - The Levy County Board of County Commissioners made the following order this date: Ordered by the Board of County Commissioners in and for Levy County in regular meeting assembled that the months of September, October, November, and December of each year are hereby designated as the months in which it shall be lawful to chase and kill wild deer in Levy County.

17 January 1927 - Lois E. Epperson of Williston sold to H. Maddox and his wife, Mrs. P.G. Maddox, owners and operators of the "Maddox Theaters" of Alachua County, Lot 3, Block 12 of the Noble Survey in the Town of Williston. Ms. Epperson also granted an easement through and upon that part of the passageway known as the "Arcade" as a means of ingress and egress to the "Theater" building on the above described property. The easement shall become null and void in the event the building is sold by the Maddox or is abandoned for use as a "Theater."
