07 February 1871 - W.R. Armor recorded his diploma from the Augusta Medical College in Georgia with Levy County Clerk of Court, George Leavitt. Armstrong set up a medical office in Otter Creek. 102 years ago
30 June 1902 - The Annual Report of the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army for the War Department showed that no work was done by the United States during the year ending 30 June on the Withlacoochee River except to make a survey of the
channels dredged by the Dunnellon Phosphate Company. The survey, made in October and November 1901, showed that a channel about 11,780 feet long had been excavated to a width of 100 feet and an average depth of about 8 feet. The depth was not uniform and the worst place in the channel had a practicable depth of 5.9 feet at mean low water. Dunnellon Phosphate Company reported that up to the end of April 1902, 161,770 cubic yards of rock and 328,064 cubic yards of
sand had been excavated from their mines.

05 July 1948 - Levy County Tax Assessor, Dogan Cobb, appeared before the Levy County Board of County Commissioners and presented a complete copy of the 1948
Tax Assessment Roll showing the assessed value on both real and personal property of the County. The Board then convened as a Board of Tax Equalizers to hear any complaints filed by any property owner as to the assessment values. There were no property owners present to make any complaints so the Board adjourned.
