01 May 1882 - At the Board of County Commissioners meeting, Mr. Thomas Tillis sent in his resignation as inspector of Marks and Brands, which was accepted and Mr. J.B. Sutton was appointed to fill the vacancy. Also at this same meeting, the fees for inspecting the marks and brand of cattle slaughtered was reduced from .25 cents to .20 cents per head, one half to be paid by the butcher and one half by the seller.
