5 April 1850 - The Levy County Board of County commissioners voted themselves the sum of $2.00 per day for their services.

17 April 1920 - Singleton G. Barker made application to the United States Postal Department to establish a post office at Hardeetown, Levy County, Florida. The application was granted and Barker continued as postmaster until 15, April 1939 when the post office was discontinued and mail routed through Chiefland.

Fictitious names registered for the year 1951 as follows: Palace Cafe (Sam Verones); Thomas Drug Store (L. Aquilla Thomas); Morgan's Liquor Store (William H. Morgan, Selena E. Morgan); Williston Bar (L. Golden, Pete Golden); City Barber Shop (S.L. Griffis).
