70 Years Ago Building Resolution adopted; Whereas, in the year 1906 the Board of County Commissioners of Levy County, Florida, constructed a Court House at Bronson, in Levy County, the then and now County seat, and whereas at that time the rooms and the offices constructed in said Court House were ample and sufficient for the accommodation of the officials of said County, with the exception of the County Judge's Office, and Whereas, at that time a vault was provided in connection with the Clerks office within which to keep and care for the records of Levy County, Florida and Whereas it has been 29 years since said Court House was built and Whereas there are many improvements now needed and necessary to be done to said present Court House and Whereas it is now necessary to build and construct an additional vault in said Court House or in connection with said Court House or in connection with said Court House within which are now important and particularly the tax records consisting of tax rolls, plats and other records now being kept in the open, no place being in the vault for same and Whereas it is now deemed necessary and appropriate by the Board of County Commissioners of Levy County, Florid that in said addition now desired to be built to said Court House that a new and larger vault be constructed and that more room be given to the Clerk's office and the County Commissioner's room and that a County Judge's office be also added to and constructed with the addition now proposed to said Courthouse.
