03 March 1860 - The new and staunch steamer Col. B.C. Pope, D.G. Young, Master has just receive a thorough overhauling and is now making semi-monthly trips on the Suwannee River, between the Suwannee Ware House & Cedar Keys, touching at
all intermediate landings. Connecting at Cedar Keys with the New Orleans, Key West & Havana Steamers which steamers connect at Key West with the Havana & Charlotte Steamship, Isabel. Shippers having cotton will find this the cheapest and most expeditious route. James Tucker, Manager.

18 August 1880 - The following oath of declaration of intention to become a citizen was recorded by Clerk of Court, J.M. Barco: I, Alexander McLeod,file this oath as my bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States
and renounce forever all allegiance to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty and particularly to her Majesty, Victoria Queen of Great Britain and Ireland,of which I was a subject.

31 July 1925 - O.R. Bell, Agent for the Florida Acreage Company, Chief land, filed a notice informing the public that they can no longer use the Suwannee River Springs formerly known as Willow Sink or Devil`s Sink The public is
warned against trespassing on the 160 acres or any part of it. The springs were situated in the SE 1/4 of Section 34, Township 11, Range 14 (west of current CR 416).
