23 June 1860 - The following notice appeared in The Telegraph published in Cedar Key: NOTICE. All persons are hereby warned from cutting wood or otherwise trespassing upon Sea Horse Key under penalty of the law. This Key was originally reserved for Military purposes and all private claims upon it have long since been disposed of. By Order of the United States Light House Board, C.W. Pickering, U.S. Navy, Light House Inspector 7th District.

20 May 1895 - James M. Stewart entered into an agreement with the mercantile firm of Epperson, Lummins & Company to put up in the Town of Bronson a grist and bathing mill to grind and prepare corn into meal and grits.Stewart agreed to furnish good merchantable meal and grits to accommodate the local demand for meal and grits and in return, Epperson will stop keeping for sale, foreign grits and meal in their stores.

27 April 1933 - The following notice appeared in the Levy County Journal. J.P. Kimble is receiving applications for Emergency Conservation Work in the Forest Camps of Florida recently set up by the National Government in their effort to provide gainful employment for idle men. Those eligible to do this work are mostly young men between the ages of 18 and 25 who will sign up for six months. A few older men who have had experience in forest work will be employed. Pay will be $30 per month with the major portion of the $30 allotted to dependents of the worker.Applicants should apply to the Emergency Relief Office in Williston.
