Methodists Welcome New Pastor | Methodists Welcome New PastorJim Hoy Pastor Clark Reichert in the sactuary of the Cedar Key United Methodist Church.
|
The Cedar Key United Methodist Church has a new pastor. He is Clark Reichert, a recent graduate of Candler School of Theology. The Reichert family includes Clark's wife, Sue, daughter Jessica, 18, who is bound for Florida Southern College, and son Matthew, 16, a new student at Cedar Key High School. Family pets are Spot, a Dalmation and an African bald python. Pastor Clark and his family enjoy fishing, camping and hiking. When asked his preference for Old versus New Testament, Pastor Clark gave an all inclusive reply. However, he made it clear that Peter is his favorite apostle. After careful thought, he said the parable of the Good Samaritan is his favorite. Pastor Clark's reason for serving in the Methodist ministry is because he is a Floridian who grew up in the Methodist faith. He recognizes the history of the Methodist Church in ongoing social reform. Pastor Clark makes his debut this week with his first submission to the religion section of Cedar Key News. |
