What Do You Like Most About Living in Cedar Key? There ain`t a whole lot of people on the island.

How Long Have You Worked For the Water and Sewer District? 24 years.

Are There Any Important Plans in Development For the Water and Sewer District?

The biggest thing going on right now is water conservation. We want to use reclaimed water at the Cedar Key Cemetery, the Cedar Key School, and other places on the island. All of this is for irrigation.

What Do You See As Cedar Key`s Biggest Problem?

Growth. This is true for both the city and for the Water and Sewer District. We must be able to meet demand. We are only going to alleviate this through conservation. Conserve, Conserve, Conserve. All new buildings must have low flow devices installed in them. People must stop using city water to water their gardens. The District recommends that people install wells on their property. I think the Water and Sewer District has done a good job. We have come a very long way.

If You Were Forced to Move From Cedar Key, Where Would You Move?

I guess I would move to Otter Creek. It`s about the smallest place I know. If I lived there, it would be easy to come to Cedar Key every day.
