06 January 1859 - The Florida Legislature passed an act to incorporate the City of Atseena Otie. The city limits included the area within a half of a mile of the bridge crossing thoroughfare Bayou, or cave in the town of Atseena Otie, in each direction therefrom. The government of the city was vested in a Mayor and four Councilmen and served for a term of one year from the date of their election. No seaman, sailor or boatman, or other persons not having a permanent residence on shore, within the limits of the city, shall be entitled to vote at any election for municipal purposes. The Judge of Probate of Levy County shall advertise at least 10 days before the day of the election and a poll book of certified voters shall be prepared.

25 September 1881 - Mr. Peter O. Sneller, for several years a resident of Pleasant Hill, Levy County, Florida, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Miss Nancy E. Epperson of Sunnyside, daughter of J.I. Epperson, formerly of Cherokee County, Georgia. The nuptial ceremonies took place at the Clermont House, Bronson, Fla., which is the resident of the bride`s brother, W.J. Epperson. Rev. T.G. Hixen was the officiating clergyman.

06 October 1922 - The City of Williston listed the following type of industries to serve the people of the area: two hard rock crusher plants; one lime rock crusher plant; three turpentine stills; two basket and hamper factories; one plow manufacturing company; one cotton gin; one cold storage plant; two grist mills; one large Coca Cola bottling works; and one fully equipped printing plant.
