06 November 1951 - A delegation of citizens from Judson and Double Sink communities of Levy County appeared before the Board of County Commissioners in the interest of getting the Board to pave the rock road running from Mrs. Ruth Faircloth`s store north to State Road 339. Reverend Ruben Davis, pastor of the Pine Grove Church, acted as spokesman for the delegation. The Board was informed that all citizens present either lived near the road or had property adjacent to the present old rock road. The citizens present agreed to remove their fencing to clear the new right-of-way where necessary and to assist other in moving theirfences. On a motion by Commissioner Ernest Stephens and seconded by Commissioner David Meeks, it was agreed that the Road Department begin the paving of the road immediately and try to pave it for a distance of four miles or as much of it as the Board`s present finances would permit.
