Two Charged with DUI

Cedar Key Police have arrested two women for driving under the influence according to reports. Both cases occurred on State Highway 24 in the early morning hours.

Carol Bayless Sakelarios, 58, of Cedar Key, failed roadside sobriety tests near the Number Four Bridge just before 1:00 AM, May 22. She later failed alcohol breath tests at more than two times the legal limit of 0.08.

Nancy Cowart Jones, 60, of Cedar Key, was arrested at 12:49 AM, May 23 at State Highway 24 and Whiddon Avenue where she failed roadside sobriety tests. Later at the Levy Count Jail she failed alcohol breath tests at 0.186 and 0.195.
