DRIVERS LICENSE AND CHILD RESTRAINT CHECKPOINTS


THE CEDAR KEY POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BE CONDUCTING A DRIVERS LICENSE AND CHILD RESTAINT CHECKPOINT ON September 18, 2004 AT S.R. 24 at #4 Bridge INSIDE THE CITY LIMITS OF CEDAR KEY.


RECOGNIZING THE DANGER PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC BY UNUSED OR IMPROPER RESTRAIND CHILD SEATS, OFFICERS WILL CONCENTRATE THEIR EFFORTS ON` VEHICLES BEING OPERATED WITH CHILDREN BEING UNRESTRAINED OR CHILD RESTRAINTS NOT BEING USED. IN ADDITION, ATTENTION WILL BE DIRECTED TO DRNERS WHO WOULD VIOLATE THE DRIVER LICENSE LAWS OF FLORIDA.

THE PATROL HAS FOUND THESE CHECKPOINTS TO BE AN EFFECTIVE MEANS OF ENFORCING THE CHILE) RESTRAINT AND DRIVER LICENSE LAWS OF FLORIDA WHILE ENSURING THE PROTECTION OF ALL MOTORISTS.
