Letters to the Editor

Hello CedarKeyNews.com,

Any sign of photographs from Cedar Key or near Cedar Key from the
Hurricane FRANCES?

I`m in the storm surge business at NOAA and our Water Level Gauge at
Cedar Key showed an historically low water level during the afternoon
and evening hours of Saturday 5 Sept 2004. Soon after a precipitous rise
occurred leading to a storm surge of about 4 feet of water.

It would be interesting to find a photo corroborating this extremely
rare event.

I saw some excellent photos on your site at CedarKeyNews.com ... and all
of them were of the ensuing flood AFTER the impressive low water.
Perhaps your photographers may have captured the event some hours before
when the extreme low water was occurring

Thanks
