Technician/Code Enforcement Officer Begins Duties

Donald Smalley

August 7 marks the starting date for Cedar Key's Building Department Technician/Code Enforcement Officer. Donald Smalley has been hired for the job. Smalley moved recently to Florida from Texas, where he has worked in electrical contracting and on a cattle ranch. He now is commuting to Cedar Key from Old Town, but he hopes to move to Cedar Key.
His work responsibilities include processing Special Action Applications and conducting field investigations for code compliance. He will work in conjunction with Capri Engineering personnel who will handle building permits under contract to the city.
