Cedar Key Man Shot

Cedar Key Man Shot

Jim Hoy

A shooting incident that seriously injured a Cedar Key man is under investigation by the Levy County Sheriff's Office. An apparent domestic dispute between a husband and wife who has a restraining order against her husband resulted in a gun shot to the man's jaw.

The man is hospitalized and has a tracheotomy that impedes investigation of the incident. Reportedly there is a police officer posted outside the man's hospital room. Captain Chuck Bastak of the Levy County Sheriff's Office declined to give the names of the people involved. As soon as information is released by the LCSO the names will be published.
