Drilling for Pilings Starts / Contest Entry Forms

The remains of the old Big Dock are gone. Drilling the holes for pouring the concrete pilings of the new dock began December 17. Two cranes worked together, with many sidewalk superintendents nearby.

BIG DOCK COMPLETION CONTEST

Pick the day the Big Dock is completed and accepted by Levy County. First prize is $100, second prize is a $75 gift certificate for the Island Room restaurant, and third prize is a $50 gift certificate for The Market at Cedar Key or Brian's Big Deck. Entry forms are available in the print editions of Cedar Key News or may be printed from Cedar Key News Online.
