Chamber to Sponsor Two New Festivals

Chamber to Sponsor Two New Festivals

Editor

Chamber President Paul Rimavicus

Paul Rimavicus made requests for Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) funds to support two new Cedar Key festivals at the March 18 CRA meeting. Rimavicus asked for $1250 to advertise a May 24 & 25 "Flowers in the Park" and an additional $1250 for "Pottery, Crafts & Art in the Park" June 21 & 22.

Between ten and twenty vendors are expected to display their wares.

Rimavicus, who is the Chamber of Commerce president, hopes to establish a series of additional festivals including an air show and a car show. Mayor Oliver pointed out that vendors at events in City Park must provide sales information.
A motion to fund advertising for both events passed unanimously.
