Services for John Collins

John "J.C." Collins

John Collins of Cedar Key, age 87, died Tuesday June 22, 2004 in Gainesville, Florida. He was born in Montbrook, Florida. He had worked as an Outboard Mechanic and he loved to fish.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Eliza Collins of Cedar Key, and daughters Oretha Mills of Chiefland, Florida, Elsie Wilson of Cedar Key, Florida, sons Robert Collins of Chiefland, Florida, Lloyd Collins, Kenny Collins and William Collins all of Cedar Key. Half sisters Gwen Collins and Lounell Collins both of Texas and half brothers John, David and Jody Collins all in Texas.

Visitation will be on Friday June 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home in Chiefland. Graveside services will be Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Cedar Key Cemetery with interment there.
