Raymond Boyd Hilton died Saturday, November 24 in Williston FL. He was 22 years old. He was born in Gainesville and lived most of his life in the area of Fanning Springs and Trenton. He worked as a carpenter. He was an accomplished guitar player and loved playing music with his friends. Mr. Hilton lived in Cedar Key during his high school years, and he graduated in 2003. He attended Santa Fe Community College. He is survived by his daughter, Nevaeh, and her mother, Corina Desarint, Fanning Springs; his mother, Theresa Rodgers, Newberry; sisters, Sarah Obadal, Chiefland, and Carrie Mosher, New Haven CT, four nieces, two nephews and numerous friends and loved ones, especially his adopted families in Cedar Key and his classmates. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Carl Hilton. Memorial graveside service will be at Shiloh cemetery 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 1, 2007 (tomorrow). After the memorial everyone is still going to Fanning Springs like mentioned in the article. The arrangements are under the direction of the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service in Chiefland. Follow signs at Huckleberry`s Barbecue Restaurant. A fund has been set up in Raymond Hilton`s name at the Drummond Community Bank in Cedar Key. Contribution containers have been placed in several Cedar Key businesses, as well. Contributions will help to defray the cost of the memorial service and arrangements.
