Father Burns was an Episcopal Priest for almost
54 years. He served the Episcopal Diocese of Florida
for over 20 years, with 10 of those years serving the
people of Christ Episcopal Church and the community
of Cedar Key. He also served a short term as interim
Priest at St. Alban`s Episcopal Church in Chiefland, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Madison, Florida, two
sons, James Lawrence Askew of Providence, Rhode Island
and F. Josef Plum of Tallahassee, Florida and three grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at St. Mary`s Episcopal
Church in Madison, Florida the first Saturday of May (May 7, 2011) at
