Obituary

Chester (Chet) Robert Probst, age 79 of Cedar Key, FL, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away April 8, at home. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was born November 15, 1932 in Boston, MA. He is preceded in death by his parents Chester Robert and Virginia Grace (McGraw) Probst. He is survived by his wife Kay Sandra (Brumett), daughter Michel Boyd, son-in-law Frank Michael and grandson Joseph Michael Parker of Deland, Fl and sister Cynthia Metivier of Chicago, IL.

Mr. Probst owned Continental Products, Inc. and American Wine Supplies, Inc. located in Indianapolis, IN and Casselberry, FL. After selling those companies he worked and retired from Siemens and moved to Cedar Key, FL in 1995. He attended Missouri State University and is a United State Marine Corps veteran.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a small gathering on Friday, April 13, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Probst`s residence in Cedar Key. Donations may be made to Friends of the Cedar Key Library or Friends of the Alachua County Library. Arrangements are entrusted to Cremations Only, Gainesville, FL.
