Laura Matson Hahn

For the 49th year, Cedar Key`s OLD FLORIDA CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS (OFCA) is making its final application call for its April 13-14, 2013 festival. Deadline for applying: December 15, 2012.

With only 120 booths available on historic second street, and a dedication to presenting the highest quality fine arts and crafts, OFCA seeks a broad range of artist from across the nation to bring their vision and creations to Cedar Key.

Year after year, our 22,000 patrons bring their pocketbooks and keen eyes to the festival to be delighted and inspired by arts made from ceramics, drawings, fiber/leather, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, mosaic, painting, photography, sculpture and wood. Plus OFCA provides $10,000 in Prize Money plus thousands more in Pre-Purchase Patron Award.

Many artists return to the festival year after year but we are always seeking new, fine artists - established and emerging! Cedar Key delivers unmatched hospitality with our historic community of artists, fishermen (and women) and creative, eclectic people, along with Complimentary Artists Breakfasts, Award Reception, Friendly Booth Sitters, Affordable Booth Fees, Comfortable 10x12 spaces, Friday PM and Sat AM set up, Great food (only local, home-made food at the festival!), Great Drinks, Cool Places to watch the sunset and friendly people everywhere. You`ll think your dreaming - but you`ll be in wondrous Cedar Key!

As a juried Fine Arts and Crafts festival, artists must submit an application with 3 photographs of their work and one of their booth. Applications can be obtained on line at OFCA website: www.cedarkeyartsfestival.com or an electronic application can be filed via www.zapplication.com. Questions? Call me, anytime!
