The December, 2012, Cedar Key Garden Club Garden of the Month is the beautiful home and gardens of Kathy and Law Fotterall, who live on 167th Court in Cedar Key.

Photos are attached. In order to appreciate the beauty of their gardens, one literally has to take a tour...preferably with Law as your tour guide pointing out the many different beautiful plants. Starting on the street side of the house one is greeted by very large Aloe plants, alongside a Calamondan tree with a robust crop of fruit, grapefruit and Myers Lemon tree.


A beautiful Cassandra tree was showing its yellow flowers in a private garden in front of the house. Other plants and trees in the garden area include Laurel Oak, Boston Ferns, colorful mixed annuals, Little Gem Magnolia, Tree Ivy, and Camellias. Continuing on the side of the house one encounters Dwarf Mandina Bamboo, Oak Leaf Hydrangea, Bird of Paradise, Variagated Pittosporum, and Loquat.

On the water side of the house there is a beautiful lawn with bird feeder, Pentas with red flowers, numerous Hibiscus, large Staghorn Fern, huge old Live Oak tree, Pyracantha tree with red berries, Pink Oleander, and numerous Cabbage and Washingtonian Palms. This beautiful garden is a testimonial to the "tender loving care" that Kathy and Law have put into their garden.
