Toastmasters Host Cookout

ANNOUNCEMENT

Local members of Toastmasters are hosting a cookout to welcome those in the community who are interested in chartering a Toastmasters Club and building the Gavel Club in Cedar Key. The Gavel Club, with several teen members, has been meeting weekly for several months. Caely Hibbits serves as president of that group.

Anyone from age 10 through 100 is invited to learn more about public speaking clubs in Cedar Key.

The event will take place Sunday, June 8 at 1 p.m. at the home of Marci and Jim Wilcox, 8010 F Street, at the corner of F and 2nd (the pink pencil home).

The guest speaker will be Jim Wilcox, who has spoken on performance improvement from Shanghai, China to Belfast, Northern Ireland ("and a couple of small towns in between.")

Jim a former Dale Carnegie instructor and Regional Training Manager at AchieveGlobal, amateur magician, guitarist, and all around nice guy, will demonstrate the effective use of magic while giving presentations.

Learn about opportunities to improve your speaking, plus hey, maybe he`ll show you a trick or two!

Call 352-543-5697 or 813-215-0050 for more information.
