Clothe-a-Child Program in 15th Year

ANNOUNCEMENT

Clothe a Child in Cedar Key 2010

Cedar Key area residents began a program to provide warm winter clothing for children in need in 1995. This program continues today. Working with school personnel and volunteers from the community, needs are identified and basic new clothing and shoes are purchased for the individual child.

Over the years dozens of children have benefited from this program. Clothe a Child is operated by a committee with a representative from each of the area churches.

Participating Cedar Key churches are the Christ Episcopal, Church of Christ, First Baptist, Rosewood Baptist Church, and the United Methodist.

Funding comes from donations from individuals and organizations. Donations may be made through any participating church and checks made out to "Clothe a Child." For additional information, contact Pam Alexander 543-5251.
