Many folks remember Mike (Micah) O'Brien, and eagerly read his first novel "Fountain's Glory". On Saturday March 5th Mike was back visiting Cedar Key and autographing copies of his second novel "Coquina Key" Published by Back Water Press, this latest novel is filled with rich detail mined from Mike's own life growing up in Florida. This is a story of forgotten memories and places. A story of long lost loves and of finding one's self hidden away in the everyday occurrences that make up the history of our lives. The cover artwork was created by local artist Carol Sakellarios.

Joan Morgan, of the Joan Morgan Watercolor Gallery, hosted the book signing in her quaint cracker cottage on First Street. Friends stopped by to say hello and reminisce, sipping on glasses of Island Punch. It was just the kind of setting that Mike writes about in his novels, laid back, colorful and quaint.
