The exhibit at the Cedar Key Arts Center October 1 produced a colorful collaboration between Cedar Key artists painting scenes of old Cedar Key and the Plein Aire Painters of Central Florida capturing some of the majestic views on and around our island.

The reception in the upstairs gallery of the Arts Center was extremely well-attended, especially considering how early in the season it fell this year. The Plein Aire event is a yearly treat for us in Cedar Key, and the artists who live here plan to participate again next year.

Refreshments were provided by the Arts Center Hospitality Committee, chaired by Sue Seyfarth, and were varied and delicious. The fresh flowers added a wonderfully festive note to the entire evening.

The exhibit will hang for the month of October. Go by the Gallery and see if you can recognize some familiar locals.
