The Old Florida Celebration of the Arts (OFCA) will feature a design competition for the poster and postcards for advertising and promotional materials. The deadline is September 30th.

The first workshop will be October 3rd; printing and collage and fluid acrylic painting. Teacher is Kevin Tobin, contact Libby Cagle at 352-543-5232 to reserve your space.

The second class will be October 4th until November 8th at the Arts Center every Tuesday from 1:30 - 4:30. The class includes making a handbuilt object from clay, firing, and glazing. There will be six sessions, register through Central Florida College, Levy Center, or call Henry Gernhardt 352-543-9165.

In the main gallery, upstairs, there are openings the first Saturday of the month from 5-7 p.m. October 1 will feature a prieview of the OFCA competition.

The member artisits gallery will open the season by highlighting workshop presenters.

Boat builders meet every Wednesday form 9-12 noon. contact Earl Starnes @ 543-6715.
