NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE ENACTMENT

Notice of proposed ordinance enactment on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at 7 p.m. in the City Hall at 490 Second Street, Cedar Key, Florida, the City Commission of Cedar Key will hold a PUBLIC HEARING to consider the FIRST READING of an Ordinance entitled:

ORDINANCE NUMBER 377

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CEDAR KEY, FLORIDA, IMPOSING A
LIMITED TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON AMENDMENTS TO FUTURE LAND USE MAP DESIGNATIONS, MINOR REPLATS, CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR BUILDING DEMOLITIONS OR RELOCATION, DEVELOMENT OF ATTACHED RESIDENTIAL UNITS, BULKHEAD OR SEAWALL PERMITS, VARIANCES, DEVELOPMENT OF A SINGLE STRUCTURE ON MORE THAN TWO COMBINED LOTS, AND HOTEL/MOTEL USE WITHIN RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL AREAS AS A CONDITIONAL USE AND DEMOLITION PERMITS FOR BUILDINGS OLDER THAN 50 YEARS, LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS; PROVIDING A PROCEDURE FOR EXTRAORDINARY HARDSHIP; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE.

If any person decides to appeal the decision of the City Commission
with respect to any matter considered at said PUBLIC HEAING, he/she will need
to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which includes the
testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
