01 June 1860 - The 1860 Federal Census of Levy County showed the following people living in the area served by the Black Dirt Post Office: Andrew E. Hodges, Physician and Farmer; Nancy Pinckney Hodges, his wife; and their children Leo A. Hodges, Alpine Hodges, William Hodges, and Robert Hodges.
Black Dirt was located east of present day Inglis.

02 August 1926 - The Bank of Williston and the Citizens Bank of Williston, doing business at the Town of Williston, merged and the assets of the Bank of Williston were taken over by the Citizens Bank of Williston. R.L. Selden was
the president of the Bank of Williston and John R. Willis was the president of the Citizens Bank of Williston.

26 January 1952 - The Levy County Board of County Commissioners published a notice that on Saturday, January 26, 1952, at 11:00 A.M. the Board would offer for sale at Public Auction what is known as the "Old Steel Bridge" across the Wacasassee River on the old Bronson-Judson Road. The highest bid was received from the Brice Lumber Company in the amount of $400.00.
