22 February 1860 - The following ships arrived at the Port of Cedar Keys: 13 February - Barge from Col. John F. Thompson`s plantation with 65 bales of cotton; 18 February - Steamer Col. B.C. Pope, Young as Master, from Suwannee Ports; and U.S.M. Steamship Atlantic, Hutchings as Master, from New Orleans. The following ships cleared the Port of Cedar Keys: 13 February - Schooner Andromeda, Rowland as Master, for New York with 13,000 feet of red cedar; 15 February - U.S. Coast Survey Steamer Walker, Guthrie Commanding, for Pensacola; 18 February - U.S.M. Steamship Atlantic, Hutchins as Master, for Havana; and 21 February Steamer Col. B.C. Pope, Young as Master, for Suwannee ports.

12 August 1927 - Mr. Doyle Carlton, who aspires to be the next governor of Florida, paid Williston a visit last week and stopped in Bronson to see the editor and published of the Levy County News-Levy Times Democrat, L.E. Vause.

08 May 1941 - At a regular meeting of the Town Council for the Town of Bronson, P.L. Fender made a motion that an ordinance be drafted at once for all dance halls and stores handling liquor be closed every night at twelve o`clock and from twelve o`clock Saturday nights until six o`clock Monday mornings. The motion was seconded by H.E. Osteen and unanimously carried.
