Lions to Hold Health Fair

Lions to Hold Health Fair

ANNOUNCEMENT

The Cedar Key Lions Club will host a health fair on Thursday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lions Club.
Many free health screenings will be available, as well as free information to promote good health and wellness in our community.
FREE SCREENINGS will include blood pressure monitoring; blood glucose testing (recommend fasting 2 or more hours prior to test); bone density testing; height, weight and BMI measuring; oxygen level monitoring; and the benefits of massage therapy can be experienced!

The Lions Club of Ocala VISION and HEARING Mobile Unit will be available for vision and hearing testing, and the LlFESOUTH Bloodmobile will be located at the Lions Club in the afternoon.
For a nominal fee of $5, cholesterol testing is available by the CHC Lab, now located in Chiefland. $10 will cover the cost of a PSA (prostate) test, or TSH (thyroid) test, or even a Lipid Profile (cholesterol, HDL, LDL) test. The Lions Club is thankful for the CHC lab's interest in our community. The test results from the lab tests will be mailed directly to the client. Fasting for four or more hours prior to the test is recommended.

AARP and SHINE representatives will be on hand to answer questions regarding the new MEDICARE program.

The Levy County VETERAN`S SERVICE OFFICER will be available, as well as a MEDICAID program manager.
There is so much available at this health fair that it is the wish of the Lions Club that every member of our community take part in this worthwhile event!
DON`T MISS IT! Mark your calendars, for Thursday, March 16. Everyone is invited! PLEASE COME!
Food will be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by the Lions Club, for a donation. For more information, call Roland and Eileen Senecal at 543-9850.
