23 December 1845 - On this date Roman B. Sanchez became Levy County`s first Clerk of Court, an office which had a two year term. He was succeeded by Robert Youngblood on 10 December 1847; John R. Hatcher on 25 February 1854; Levi Wright on 14 July 1855; on the death of Levi Wright, Elias Turner was appointed on 23 January 1858; and George S. Leavitt on 12 February 1863.

21 June 1893 - The U.S. Postal Service approved the petition of William Watt to establish a post office at Double Sink, Levy County, Florida. Watt served as postmaster until 11 April 1903 and was succeeded by his wife, Isadora (Dixon) Watt who served until 09 September 1905. Succeeding postmasters included Charles E. McElroy; Samuel B. Hardee; John B. Stockman; and Ethel Highsmith. On 30 September 1912, the post office was discontinued and mail was distributed out of Trenton,Gilchrist County, Florida.

06 May 1954 - The following Classified Advertisement appeared in the Levy County Journal: I have at my place one hog, marked under slope and under bit in one ear and under square in the other. The owner may have hog by paying me for my trouble, this advertisement and the damage caused to my garden. P.L. Fender, Bronson, Florida.
