13 June 1840 - From The Niles' National Register - Information has been received from Captain Graham of the corps of topographical engineers, now on a survey of the mouth of the Suwannee, Florida, that he has discovered a deeper passage than that of either of the channels heretofore used, which saves the necessity altogether of steamers and other vessels from the military depot of Cedar Keys going to sea. This passage being entirely inland, cuts off a distance of about ten miles, principally at sea. Frequently in bad weather, the steamers supplying the army could not make their trips in consequence of this exposure; they can now pass at all times.

05 February 1906 - F.M. Dobson, Agent for the construction firm of Wagener & Dobson submitted a bid proposal for the erection of a new courthouse building in compliance with the specifications prepared by the Montgomery Architectural Company. The plans and specifications for the Levy County Courthouse are the same as the original plans and specifications for the Bradford County Courthouse as built by F.M. Dobson and the building will be a duplicate in every respect. The said building to cost Levy County $15,000.

27 January 1937 - At a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Bronson a discussion was held regarding the disturbance in radios caused by the traffic light at the intersection near Moring's filling station and H.E. Osteen's station. Town Clerk, Nadine L. Kirkland was instructed to contact a representative of Florida Power Corporation and see what could be done in reference to this light.
