Update on "Sunset Park"

Update on "Sunset Park"

Letters to the Editor

Mr. Ronnie Taylor of Cedar Key Building & Development, Inc, this past Tuesday, in a very generous gesture, offered the Cedar Key Land Preservation Corporation a conditional 120 day window from April 1st, 2004, to allow more time to raise support for the "Sunset Park" project (Corner of 2nd and G streets in Cedar Key). Mr. Taylor had been scheduling an April 16th date on which to break ground for the (6) home-sites he is planning to build on the parcel which has been named "Sand Spit Homes". The 120 day extension translates into a firm date of July 29th, 2004 on which an agreement to purchase the parcel would be expected to be consummated. Mr. Taylor made it clear that he is not willing to go beyond the July 29th deadline.

Conditions of the 120 day extension: The extension will be granted by Mr. Taylor based on Mr. Bill Phillips, of Cedar Key Land Preservation Corporation, assessment on April 1st of positive progress in both fund raising and in public support.
