Thank You from Clothe A Child Program

Thank You from Clothe A Child Program

Letters to the Editor

Clothe-A-Child has provided clothing to 37 children during this year. Some children have needed full sets of clothing, including jeans, shirts, underwear, socks, shoes and jacket. Some needed shoes when school began. Some lost all their clothing in a home fire, some moved into our area with no school clothes. Occasionally blankets and bed sheets are needed by these families, and they have been provided.

$4,690.00 has been donated to 04 Clothe-A-Child by Cedar Key church members, residents and friends. Thank you to all contributors! These gifts make it possible to meet the clothing needs identified by school personnel and community members. Additionally clothing has been placed in the school health room, and the pre-kindergarten classroom to meet emergency clothing needs.

Churches participating in the program are the Cedar Key Baptist, Church of Christ, Christ Episcopal, United Methodist and the Rosewood Baptist Church. Volunteers working on the project in 04 include Arno Webster, Laura Robinson, Alice Cason, Carol Armstrong, Lucille Wilder, Lynda Flynn, Lorna McCumbers, Lucille Wilder, Marie Johnson, Susan D. Miller, Mary Stone and Malinda Roland-Smith.

Contributions are always accepted and may be made through any participating church or by mailing a check made out to Clothe-A-Child to P.O. Box 338, Cedar Key, FL 32625. This has become a year round program to meet children's clothing needs.
