Letter of Thanks to the Citizens of Cedar Key:

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the
Citizens of Cedar Key for allowing me to serve on the City Commission
unopposed for the past four years. The responsibility of making
decisions for our community is not an easy job--at times it is quite
challenging. It is hard to balance the fine line between property
owner`s rights while trying to manage growth so that our beautiful
little island doesn`t become another South Florida coastline tragedy.
It has been an honor and a privilege for me to be able to serve in this
position, and I am grateful for the confidence and support of so many.
It has made the past four years enjoyable, however, I have decided not
to seek re-election this year. I truly appreciate all of the
encouragement and thanks you have given me, both in person and in your
notes and telephone calls. I thank you.
Vanessa Edmunds
