Marsh view of the framework for a new house on Jernigan Ave.

The framework for a new home on Jernigan Avenue arose from the edge of the marsh during the first week of June. An example of modern architecture, steel and glass will be prominent features of the building. The Donald Youngs, of Chicago, are the owners of the most recent dwelling to be built on our island.

Couch Steel Construction of Gulf Hammock put up the framework. Greg Lang, a Cedar Key contractor, will complete the construction job. Lang told Cedar Key News that the project will take several months.
