Public Hearings Focus on Property Tax Issues

ANNOUNCEMENT

Public Hearings on property tax issues will be held in communities throughout Florida by the Florida Legislature throug the month of February. The legislature is considering possible tax reforms and methods to give relief to property owners. The schedule of hearings is as follows:

Jacksonville, Thursday, Feb. 8, 6-9 p.m., Florida Community College

West Palm Beach, Monday, Feb. 12, 9 a.m.-noon, Palm Beach Community College Dunkin Theatre, Lake Worth Campus

Ft. Lauderdale, Monday Feb. 12, 6-9 p.m., Broward Community College

Miami Dade, Tuesday, Feb. 13, 6-9 p.m., Miami Dade Community College Chapman Center

Tampa, Thursday, Feb. 15, 6-9 p.m., Hillsborough Community College

Fort Myers, Friday, Feb. 16, 6-9 p.m., Florida Gulf Coast University

Orlando, Thursday, Feb. 22, 6-9 p.m., Valencia Community College
