Nathaniel Taylor "Nat" Holman

Obituary

Nathaniel Taylor "Nat" Holman died Tuesday, May 9 at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. He was 78 years old.


Mr. Holman was born in Cedar Key and was a lifelong resident. He was a retired automotive salesman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedar Key and he served in the U.S. Navy in the Atlantic toward the end of World War II.

Mr. Holman is survived by his wife, Britt, of Cedar Key; grandson, John David Rowland, Jr.; brother, Herbert Holman of Cedar Key; cousin, Betty Jean Cannon of Cedar Key; nephews, Leland, Brad and Gary Holman, all of Cedar Key; cousin, Donald & Lucille Wilder of Fanning Springs; cousin, Elwood & Lil Wilder; cousin, Floyd & Louise Taylor; cousin, Ronnie Taylor; uncle and aunt, Dewitt & Nellie Mae Taylor; and many other cousins and family members.

Services for Mr. Holman will take place at 3 p.m., Friday, May 12 at the First Baptist Church of Cedar Key with the Rev. Ted Francis officiating.

Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Cedar Key or to the Cedar Key School in memory of Mr. Holman. Arrangements are under the direction of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of Chiefland.
